The way of escape
Sometimes, the things that beset us are overwhelming. Trying times that offer no hope of recovery. Everywhere you turn, the verdict is the same: no way through. However, God said He will show us the way of escape.
In our desperation and seasons of weeping, it is easy to miss the way of escape. The eyes have to be clear to see and the mind clear to navigate. Not that easy when feelings of despondency are so crushing. What can you do when you do not know what to do?
First, do not give up completely. Still believe, as Job did, that there is life after the worst of adversity (Job 14:14; 19;24,25).
Second, maintain the integrity of God and His word. If He said there's a way out, then expect a way, no matter how long you have to wait.
Third, take a break and restrategise. Those who take a break with the Lord will renew their strength.
Fourth, be prepared to fight your way through. Even after the Lord shows you the way, the enemy may still want to hinder your progress.
There is wisdom available for those who seek. Lord show me the way through and I will live.
